Frequently asked questions
Today's picture isn't showing up
NASA publishes the APOD on US time, so early in the day in Europe it may not be available yet. If the problem persists, check your connection and try again later; NASA's service also has occasional outages.
My favorites don't sync between devices
Favorites sync through iCloud. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple Account on all devices and that iCloud Drive is enabled in Settings. Syncing can take a few minutes.
I don't see the AI-generated descriptions
Descriptions are generated on-device with Apple Intelligence, so they require a compatible device with Apple Intelligence enabled in Settings. Translation of NASA's texts, on the other hand, works on many more devices.
The widget doesn't update
Widgets refresh automatically once a day. iOS decides the exact moment to save battery; if you've just added it, give it a few minutes.
Do tips unlock anything?
No. Tips are entirely optional and only support the app's development. All functionality is free.
